Have all materials with you when you arrive – be on time.
2.
Sharpen pencils BEFORE class begins.
3.
Stay on task, listen to directions, participate in discussions, and complete
assignments.
4.
Everyone is respectful of everyone in class.
5.
Mr. Bowman/Mrs. Stark dismiss the class, not the bell.
Consequences
1st
Time – Warning
2nd
Time – Warning of 30 minute contact slip
3rd
Time – 30 minute contact slip, parent contact
Severe –
Fighting, Vandalism, Disrespect, Stopping Class
Time
Out – Call to Parent, Conference AFTER SCHOOL to return to class
and
a contact slip.
Depending on the student’s behavior
and/or circumstance, Mr. Bowman/Mrs. Stark may use their discretion when assigning a consequence.
Assignments and Expectations
Assignments will be graded according
to the following scale:
5 points – Assignment completed on time with work
3 points – Assignment handed in late.
0 points – NO ASSIGNMENT.
Grades
90-100 = A 80-89 = B 70-79
= C 60-69
= D Below 60 = F
Achievement
(Tests, Quizzes, Special Projects and Assessments) 80%
Productivity (Homework, Work Habits and Quality)
20%
Retakes of Tests, Quizzes will only be
allowed if the overall math grade is a D/F.
Re-takes need to be completed 6 days
after the test has been returned to the student. An additional assignment will
need to be completed before the test or quiz can be re-taken. DO NOT wait until
the last day to re-take tests and quizzes.
Absences
You are responsible for finding out what
work you have missed. If notes were taken that day, it is your responsibility
to obtain a copy of them. All assignments for the class are listed on the board
in the front of the room for the week.

Remember – make up work is your
responsibility.
Contact Information
Mr. Bowman and Mrs. Stark are
generally at school daily at 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Tuesday mornings
they are in a meeting. Students can come and see us during 8th
period if they are not in choir or band. Your homeroom teacher will sign
your planner to come and see us after Channel One.
The best times to catch us after
school are Monday and Thursday from 3:20 until 4:00.
